Forget MECM: Its Microsoft Configuration Manager Now

Hello friends, hope you are doing well. Even before some of us get used to calling SCCM as MECM. Microsoft has changed the name again. Starting from Configuration Manager version 2303, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager is now Microsoft Configuration Manager. Microsoft brought together Configuration Manager and Intune with simplified license. Intune, Configuration manager, Desktop Analytics and Autopilot are all part of Intune brand.

Q: Will there be any change in functionality of Configuration Manager ?

No, apart of name of product, everything remains the same

Q: Will there be any change is Licensing?

BTW, Microsoft has renamed AAD also to Microsoft Entra ID. Seems they love to confuse us 🙂
